Saraki Visits Survivors Of Nasarawa Gas Explosion

Senate President Bukola Saraki has visited the survivors of Monday gas explosion in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital, describing the situation as “Horrific”.

Saraki was seen in company of some allied in the hospital consoling with the survivors. Shortly on arrival to the hospital, he took to his twitter handle @bukolasaraki and sent his empathy to the families of those affected in the explosion.

He twitted, “I just visited the survivors of today’s horrific gas explosion in Nasarawa State. My thoughts and prayers remain with the families that lost loved ones today.

“We will continue to support the State Government to ensure the speedy and full recovery of the all the victims.”

Meanwhile, reports were that the gas explosion injured over 50 persons leaving them with different degrees of burns and they were receiving treatment at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital.

ooreporters.com learnt that the explosion occurred on Monday morning at about 10am, and was as a result of a gas leakage from Monaco gas refill station located in the premises of Natson petrol station.
