My great people of Isiala Mbano!
It amazes me that every day on Facebook, on Whatsapp, on instagram, on other social media platforms and in public gatherings, I see our people of Isiala Mbano quarrel, insult and batter each other. Honestly I feel we should rather be asking ourselves how we got to this darkest spot in the history of our politics and socio-economic development. How do we get it right again?
We should be ashamed of our sorry state of things in Isiala Mbano, looking at the fact that we pride ourselves of having the biggest calibre of heavyweights in the political and leadership circles of Imo state. Just imagine the entire Isiala Mbano has no single motorable federal, state or even inland roads.
Honestly, after going round Isiala Mbano during my first tour of wards and communities I wept at what I saw. In fact, how can you imagine that a seriously sick old person you are carrying from Amauzari to any hospital outside Amauzari in a car or a bike will make it alive to hospital looking at how bad the roads have become ? We really need to ask ourselves where we got it all wrong.
My people! As I come face to face and closer everyday with the very real problems our people are facing, especially the low income women in our communities, the aged who need essential community health facilities, and the youths who have no jobs and no meaningful means of livelihood, I have seen more reasons to ask you my brothers, my political leaders and the leaders of our communities to give your servant-leader, your brother and son, Chukwuka Agwunobi (Sir Duke) the Isiala Mbano Mandate.
Give me this mandate so we can work together to change the face and the fate of our constituency, the communities and people of Isiala Mbano. The mandate is the greatest tool in our hands to bring dramatic transformation in Isiala Mbano.
With the mandate, a courageous house member and political representative can engage the executive, the judiciary and the legislative arms of the state government to authoritatively demand for what belongs to Isiala Mbano.
I only need the Isiala Mbano mandate for me to confront the state civil service system and demand for the civil service job slots and quota due to Isiala Mbano youths.
With the mandate a charismatic representative has all he needs to engage the political actors to ensure that the sociopolitical opportunities due to our people are not denied them.
The mandate is a powerful tool in the hands of any representative to transform the face of his constituency. And I know how powerful the mandate is, and how to use it to get all we want as a community and a constituency.
On my honour, and on the honour of all of you, and that of our great and illustrious sons and daughters of Isiala Mbano who have embraced the project of my candidacy for what it stands for — effective representation and courageous leadership, I humbly ask you to give your son, Chukwuka Agwunobi (Sir Duke) the powerful Isiala Mbano Mandate so that, together with you, we can demonstrate how this mandate holds the key to the development of our Isiala Mbano constituency and the socio-economic survival of our people.
I am your son and servant, Chukwuka Agwunobi (Sir Duke) the candidate of the PDP for Isiala Mbano state constituency.
