There is a fresh plot to remove Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, from office by force on Wednesday, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the reformed All Progressives Congress (rAPC), yesterday.
In a statement by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, the presidency was fingered in the shoddy plan.
It said that the presidency would use the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to perfect the alleged scheme by pretending to invite, then arrest and detain Saraki and Ekweremadu.
This was coming ahead of the Wednesday session of the National Assembly, as it had been on recess since Tuesday, July 24.
ooreporters.com gathered that the Assembly had to cut its two-month annual vacation to enable it look into urgent national interest that include the N242 billion 2019 general elections budget proposal of the Executive.
It was sketchy at the time of filing in this report if the National Assembly would still commence recomvening under the leadership of Saraki.
